Lynnderella Princess in Punkatory

I'm aware I've done a pretty fantastic job convincing you I've fallen off the face of the earth. You can go ahead and thank the polar vortex for that, because the brutal cold we'd been having these past few months had its way with my nails and broke them something fierce. Now that things are finally thawing out over here, the fancy phalanges are making a comeback.

Nailporn resumes with a very special polish gifted to me by someone extra-spankin'-awesome, and you know who you are! Lynnderella Princess in Punkatory is a sheer electric pink base with pink-violet shimmer and a plethora of multicolored glitters, including stars and (!) butterflies. The name alone reminds me of this song (hello senior year of high school). And Cyndi Lauper.

Shown is one coat, with some strategic dabbing, over Liquid Sky Lacquer XTC:

My eyes are getting all googly staring at the deliciousness.

Lynnderella Lacquers are available on lynnderella.com and through Glitter Connect and Norway Nails. This one is a limited edition, and was a gift as I mentioned before, but there are plenty of amazing core colors as well. So what do you think? Will you (like me) be coming back to this one time after time?

Liquid Lacquer Dazed and Confused

So you know what they say about all good things, and on that note (pun not intended, not really anyway...nevermind) we've reached the end of the Zeppelin tour. As such, I though it was necessary to give you one last look at this:

At least I'm ending it on an awesome polish based on a killer song. Dazed and Confused is a creamy cool-toned gray with a scattered holo shimmer. The really unique thing about this polish is, the holo shimmer actually makes it look some a sort of sparkly speckled marble up close. No matter how I tried there was just no possible way to do this color the justice it deserves. Shown is three coats.

Now that I've listened to worn the whole album collection, I have to say it was no less amazing than the songs it was inspired by. The creamy holos take a tad longer to dry than the others, but that's just characteristic of those types of polishes. Overall I have to say that my only disappointment was that my favorite Led Zep song of all time, The Rover (also from Phsyical Graffiti) wasn't bottled and holo'd up, but otherwise they got a whole lotta lovin'. Since my camera just couldn't do this color enough justice, go to Liquid Lacquer's Site to grab a bottle for yourself, and be a Facebook groupie while you're at it. For now, we're going to have to say "Babe I'm gonna leave you" to Robert, Jimmy, John and John Paul, but you can always go back and ogle the gifs. I know I will.

This polish was purchased by me.

Liquid Lacquer Dancing Days

Today brings something of a somber post. Not too long ago, a minor tragedy happened. I'd just done my nails with Dancing Days and put the bottle on the kitchen table. This is a cautionary tale about leaving a parrot unattended for even .2342523 of a second. Lestat made a beeline for the shiny, got it in his beak, and dropped it smash on the floor in less time than it takes to whip your head around, apparently. Kind of made me go like this:

Needless to say I was not dancing. This also means, sadly, that there are no bottle shots this time around because I hadn't gotten the chance to photograph it yet. But for the few days I had it on the color was still positively dance-worthy. Dancing Days was--sniff--is a pinkish lavender jelly holo. Shown is three coats and maybe a few tears of devastation.

Direct lighting:

Even more sadly, this one is currently sold out, and I have no idea if it's coming back. Supposed to have been LE. But check out all the other awesome colors on the Liquid Lacquer site and updates with new colors on Facebook, and maybe dancing days will be here again.

This polish was purchased by me (and broken by a very naughty parrot).
