Elevation Pahlish Romantic Night in the Desert Duo

Love life a little...dry? Sick of candlelight and long walks on the beach? Looking for something to literally heat things up? How about a romantic night in the desert?

      So maybe you don't exactly want to recreate this scene from The Mummy on your next date night. Understandable. Unless being chased around by undead things wrapped in linen is what turns you on. I won't judge. But you will want to scroll down and dig up the treasure I have to show you.

The Romantic Night in the Desert collaboration duo was a limited edition Valentine's collaboration between Elevation Polish and Pahlish consisting of Mt. Carmel, a (very appropriately named) caramelly pink shade with iridescent pink and gold flakies, and Coral Pink Sand Dunes, a mix of brown, copper, gold and pink glitters (including circle glitters!). Shown is 3 coats of Mt. Carmel alone on second and pinky fingers, and  2 coats of Coral Pink Sand Dunes over 2 coats of Mt. Carmel on the rest.

Both of these applied smoother than caramel, without the stickiness or calories of actual caramel. This duo is no longer available, but you can unearth many other treasures at both the Pahlish and Elevation Polish sites. So I think summer is finally on its way out the door. Temps are in the low to mid 70s for the most part, and it's raining like the wrath of Cthulhu out there today. Not your thing? I know just the vacation destination for you:

Fabulous brochure pic, no? Doesn't it make you want to break out your bikini and a gallon of SPF 100+? Alright, maybe a little too dry. Just a little. Unless you're into this look.

Grave robbed!

Its namesake polish, though, is anything but. Elevation Polish Gobi is a (appropriately) sand-colored holo with green duochrome flash. Take my word for it when I say no picture can really do it proper justice. You have to wear it, to actually  see it in action to get the full scope of amazingness. One moment it's brownish, one moment greenish, one moment gold, one moment duochrome, one moment holo, and any combination of those things at any time depending on the light. Whew. But until technology somehow makes it so you can zap 3-D holograms directly to your screen, I think my photos should suffice.
